You're not in Kansas anymore…

Simon Pegg

I was lucky enough this Christmas to be given a wonderful book I didn’t even know existed: Simon Pegg’s autobiography Nerd Do Well (see what he did there?).

Inspired by this hilarious and interesting read, this week’s Hottie is naturally the amazingly funny Simon Pegg.

Simon was born in 1970 and his acting career started in local theatres when he was still young. Since then, he has become a famous and influential actor, comedian and writer. He is also a suave, handsome superhero who lives with his robot sidekick Canterbury.

He is a self-proclaimed nerd, and this is evident in most of his best-known works, such as Spaced (1999-2001), Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007) and the eagerly awaited Paul (2011) which he co-wrote with best friend and equally brilliant Nick Frost. He has also guest starred on Black Books (2000-2004) and Doctor Who (2005-), two of my all time favourite TV-shows!

Simon and Nick. Two hotties for the price of one.

Spaced was co-written by Jessica Hynes, and both Shaun and Fuzz were results of the great working partnership of Simon and Edgar Wright. As you no doubt experienced from the above photo, Simon’s famous smile inspires instant sexual arousal in women and turns men into benders. His toned, yet not too muscular, torso is like Brad Pitt’s in Fight Club.

I really wonder how many times I’ll get away with posting this picture..?

Some of the statements above are true…

Now, in true Hottie-fashion, here are some photos of the sexy man of mystery who has saved the world at least thirteen times while looking hot and smelling good!

My recommendation for this weekend, you ask? Well, it’s simple: Go out and get all of Pegg’s works on DVD, watch them, watch them again, then watch them again with commentaries. Then, read his book, and after that rewatch everything once more. Best. Weekend. Ever.

Love, Mari

Pegg plays an alien baby-killer invading America in a movie out now, but I haven’t heard anything else about it. It doesn’t look good and it won’t fly from what little nothing’s been said of it.

    • Hmm… You sure about this? Don’t see any mention of it on his imdb-page. Unless you’re talking about Paul, in which case I think you may have misunderstood the plot slightly… Got more details? -Mari
