This Wednesday is all about gloves. Winter has once again descended on us, and it’s time to pull out the warm accessories. Gloves, luckily, are both warm and decorative, and they come in all different shapes (well, they basically follow more or less the same structure in order to fit our hands) and colours. Traditionally, gloves come in three lengths:
Wrist, or matinee-length:
and full-length, also known as Opera-length.
Judging from the evidence so far on this blog: when you go to the opera, things should be long!
There’s really not much more to say about gloves. Whether you prefer the warm wool gloves or the decorative crochet ones, they will brighten up your hands. They are beautiful, functional and stylish and we love them for keeping us warm, fashionable and pretty. Here are some more lovely examples for your entertainment:
No excuses for frostbite on your hands this winter! In case you’re still not convinced of the glory of the glove, I’ll leave you with a photo of one of Vili Flik’s favourite style icons: the always lovely and gorgeous Audrey Hepburn.
