This week’s Friday Feast will be dedicated to a drinkable delicacy; the milkshake.
This is perhaps one of the easiest treats to make when one is in need of something sweet and fattening. Perfect for hot summer days? Yes! But I see no reason why it shouldn’t also be perfect for cold winter nights (providing that one is sitting inside a warm living room, perhaps even in front of a fireplace). Milkshake is also one of those treats that it is easy to make a lot of, and as such, very shareable.
All you really need is milk, ice cream and a blender, and you’re good to go. Flavors are optional and there are of course a bunch of ingredients you can add to it if you like. For example you could add fruits, like strawberry or banana, or perhaps chocolate or caramel sauce, or really anything you believe will go well with milk and ice cream.
It’s a mix and match sort of thing.
If you are in the Trondheim area I highly recommend a visit to Pair-A-Dice Diner and Bar in Kongensgate 19. They have glorious 50’s kind of style milkshakes served with whipped cream and a cherry on top. You can find their homepage here.
